McKenna Lynn is a scenic designer, props artisan and scenic painter based in Gilbert/Mesa Arizona. Employed full time at Hale Center Theatre- Arizona she has worked on about 72 productions between 2016 and the beginning of 2023. Her love for theatre and art began at a young age leading up to an exciting opportunity to take a full time internship at a local theatre right out of high school at the Queen Creek Preforming Arts Center. What she loves about scenic and prop work is exploring the profound way in which our environments tell a story- the wear on a favorite pencil that reveals the intellectual anxiety of an ambitious student, or the doodles on a desk that tell of the restlessness of another. McKenna has always thrived when challenged, she loves problem solving and strives to always give 110 percent in all that she does. Through applying textures, color theory, and construction techniques she believe that what is achieved through successful scenic environments are stories. Stories that support the characters on stage, expand the narrative of the show, and most importantly, reach out to an audience and engage with them- so that as the audience engages with the scenic design their experience becomes are part of the story being told.

McKenna believes in hard work and embracing every opportunity to learn and grow. When not at the theatre, she enjoys traveling, hiking, spending time with friends and family and playing guitar. Life is, after all, an exciting adventure full of stories to discover and create!

She also has taken on photography as a hobby and side gig, shadowing professional photographers as a second at events and taking on freelance jobs.
